Speedymet patented instrumentation allows the the resistance of concrete to compression to be measured just 18 hours after casting, thus bringing the result forward by 27 days.
Samples of the concrete conglomerate are placed in two steel cubes, which are then inserted into a curing container.
This activates the process of rapid setting by controlling the physical-chemical parameters which contribute to the achievement of the final result. On completion of this phase, the samples will be inserted in the press to be broken.
After breaking, the value of the compressive strength at 28 days can be obtained.
Speedymet: 22 x 62 x 50 cm
Cube: 8 x 8 x 8 cm
Total weight: 68 kg
Knowing what the strength of the concrete will be in a few hours allows you to:
The Speedymet produces a steam curing process on the sample pieces, enabling them to quickly reach 50-70% of their maximum resistance.
The result is obtained by following a statistical correlation curve that allows you to obtain the strength value at 28 days. The assessment error varies with the characteristic strength value of ± 6% for 10 MPa concretes and 8% for 30 MPa concretes.
